Format

Makes an image of your signature to put on a PDF, a Word document or an email: draw it with a finger, pen or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style, or photograph it on paper and let the tool take away the paper. The PNG is transparent, so only the ink shows over a page. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  • Draw: sign on the pad. A pen's pressure sets the line's width, as does the speed of a finger or mouse; Thin, Medium and Thick change the whole signature, already drawn or not.
  • Type: your name in one of Dancing Script, Great Vibes, Caveat and Kalam. Kalam also writes Hindi; a style without the letters typed cannot be chosen.
  • Photo: a photo or scan of your signature on white paper. The paper is whitened, evened out where the light falls unevenly, and made transparent, and the image is cut to the ink. A photo with no clear ink says so, and faint ink such as pencil is kept with a note that thin strokes may break up.

Ink is black, blue or any colour you pick, or for a photo the ink's own colour. The signature is cut to the ink with a margin of 8% of its longer side and saved at the Width you choose, from 100 to 3,000 px (600 by default), its height following; a signature far taller than it is wide is saved narrower, within the 16.8 megapixels every browser can save. PNG is transparent; JPG cannot be, so it puts the ink on white. The preview is the file you download.
