Brings a photo, signature or scanned document under 100 KB, the limit many exam, job and admission forms set. Drop a file and it is compressed at once; add up to 50 and download them singly or as a ZIP. Images are compressed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use it

The page starts at Target size with Max size 100 KB and no minimum, saving every file as JPG. Each file is saved at the highest quality that fits. With Allow resizing to reach the target on (the default), the quality of a JPG or WebP goes no lower than 50; a large phone photo is scaled down instead, to the largest size that fits, down to 16 px. The result shows the size in pixels, for forms that set dimensions too.

Forms that also reject files that are too small, such as 50 to 100 KB, need Min size set too. A different limit works the same way: change Max size, or switch to Quality.

Output format starts at JPG, which most forms ask for; transparent areas, as in a signature saved as PNG, become white. Choose Same as input to keep a logo or screenshot as PNG. A PNG gets smaller only by keeping fewer colours, which shows as bands across a photo's smooth areas, and the result says how many it kept.

Every visit starts at Target size, 100 KB and no minimum; the other options are remembered on this device, apart from the Image Compressor, and Reset options returns to all the defaults.

A maximum counts 1,000 bytes per KB and a minimum 1,024, because portals disagree on what a kilobyte is: the file then fits under either count.

Examples

A 100 KB limit

With the defaults, every file comes out at no more than 100,000 bytes. A portal counting 1,024 bytes per KB allows up to 102,400 bytes, so the file passes there too.

A form asking for 50 KB to 100 KB

Set Min size to 50 KB and the file is kept between 51,200 bytes and 100,000 bytes: above 50 KB however the portal counts, below 100 KB likewise. A small, plain scan that stays under the minimum even at the best quality is reported, not padded; scan it at a higher resolution.

Where the limits come from

Each row is from the exam's own notice for the cycle named. Limits change between cycles, so check the current notice before you apply. UPSC shows its upload instructions on its application portal once you sign in; they also ask for the file to be named signature.

The same notices allow a larger photo, which a file of 20 to 100 KB also meets: NEET (UG), 2026: 10โ€“200 KB; JEE (Main), 2026: 10โ€“200 KB; UPSC (all exams): 20โ€“200 KB. Some set dimensions in pixels as well: the IBPS notices give 800 ร— 400 px for the declaration, which the Photo and Signature Resizer makes at that size and file size.

Frequently asked questions

No. Your browser reads, compresses and saves the images on your device; they are not sent to CornerTools or anyone else. To check, open the browser's developer tools at the Network tab and add an image: no request carries it. The first HEIC photo you add downloads a decoder from this site: a download to your browser, not an upload of your photo.
Check that you uploaded the compressed download, not the original, and that the form's limit is not lower than 100 KB, such as 20 KB or 50 KB for a signature: change Max size to match. Some forms also check dimensions in pixels or the file type (often JPG only).
A small or simple image reaches its best quality below the limit. A file already under 100 KB in the chosen format, such as a JPG saved as JPG, is kept as it is, with its metadata removed. Set Min size if the form needs a larger file.
